Description: |
Students undertake a total of ten days School Experience distributed over the first five weeks of school term 4. This is an opportunity for students to build on their developing theoretical and practical understandings of the teaching/learning context of secondary schools and classrooms. They will be required to undertake an action learning project in the school where they are placed and attend pre- and post-school experience meetings. |

Prerequisites: |
Students must be enrolled in the BEd (Secondary) and have successfully completed EDU101/EDU1011 Introduction to Teaching and either EDU241 Processes of Learning OR be enrolled in or have completed EDU242 Learning and Assessment: Theory and Practice. |
Exclusions: |
Students enrolled in the GradDipEd (Secondary) should not enrol in this unit. |
Assessment: |
A result of Ungraded Pass or Fail is awarded for this unit. |

Students who have successfully completed a unit may not enrol for credit in any subsequent version of that unit, even if under a different code and/or title, nor in any parallel lower- or higher-level version. Students enrolled in a higher-level version of a unit are required to demonstrate advanced analytical skills and/or use of advanced research tools in assignments modified for that level.
Cancellation of Courses, Minors and Units
The University reserves the right to cancel, without notice, any course, major, minor or unit if the number of students enrolled falls below limits set by the University.
