Education (BEd) [Early Childhood and Primary Teaching] (Four Years) Education (BEd) [Primary Teaching] (Four Years) Education (BEd) [Primary Teaching] (Four Years) + Australian Indigenous Studies (BA) Education (BEd) [Primary, 1-10 Health and Physical Education] Graduate Certificate in Science Teaching
					Exclusions:	This unit is not available to students enrolled in a Science major.
					Quota:	This unit is subject to quota. Quota is due to limited resources and applies to the Rockingham offering. Preference will be given to students in the BEd (Primary) at Rockingham campus.
2010	EDU101	Introduction to Teaching	Murdoch: S2-internal, S2-external Rockingham: S2-internal	6	Prerequisites:	Enrolment in an initial teacher education course. Students not enrolled in an initial teacher education course need to seek permission from the Unit Coordinator. Criminal History Record Clearance and Working with Children Clearance: It is compulsory for every external student (Interstate, Country or Overseas) to have a WA Department of Education Criminal History Record Clearance AND a Working With Children Clearance from the Department of Community Development (DCD) if they are working in a Western Australian school. Criminal Record Clearance forms are available in the Murdoch University School Experience Office (MUSE) or on the WA Department of Education web site http://www.det.wa.edu.au/education/teaching/forms.html Working with Children forms are available at Western Australian Post offices with proof of identity. Do not apply to police stations. Copies of these clearances are a requirement for placement in any school in WA. Students need to apply for their Criminal Record Clearance at least six weeks prior to being placed in a School, as they can take some time to be processed. The School Experience Office at Murdoch University can sign Working with Children forms, which must then be taken to a Post Office to be registered. Students who have successfully completed a unit may not enrol for credit in any subsequent version of that unit, even if under a different code and/or title, nor in any parallel lower- or higher-level version. Students enrolled in a higher-level version of a unit are required to demonstrate advanced analytical skills and/or use of advanced research tools in assignments modified for that level.

Cancellation of Courses, Minors and Units
The University reserves the right to cancel, without notice, any course, major, minor or unit if the number of students enrolled falls below limits set by the University.
