Marine and Freshwater Research Laboratory
The Marine and Freshwater Research Laboratory (MAFRL) is one of the major marine, estuarine and freshwater testing facilities in Western Australia.

Based in Murdoch’s School of Environmental Science, MAFRL consultants are specialists in low level nutrient analysis of water, testing to parts per billion.

The laboratory is NATA accredited, has an experienced field sampling team and expertise in project design and management.

MAFRL has successfully completed numerous surveys, monitoring and research programs for a range of clients including the Department of Environmental Protection, CSIRO, Water and Rivers Commission and the Kwinana Industry Council.
