Happy CampersMURDOCH University's Bush Court was buzzing in July as hundreds of visiting students from Australia, East Timor and Papua New Guinea pitched their tents for a week. They were delegates of the eleventh annual Students for Sustainability conference, held for the first time in WA this year. The conference kicked off with a vibrant Open Day, where members of the community were invited to join in the festivities on campus, and learn more about sustainability issues. During the week, conference delegates attended sustainability workshops, and used the week as an opportunity to exchange ideas and action strategies to keep sustainability issues on the agenda for governments and industry. Findings from the conference will be submitted to the State Sustainability Strategy. |
