Stelbovics to head researchProfessor Andris Stelbovics has accepted an offer to take up the position of Pro Vice Chancellor (Research) at Murdoch University – a position that he has acted in with great distinction since February 2003. Professor Stelbovics joined Murdoch University in 1996, and has built an internationally renowned research group specialising in scattering theory and the modeling of atomic collisions. He is the Joint Director of the Centre for Atomic, Molecular and Surface Physics and is a highly cited author of more than 100 refereed articles. “In this role I will continue to build external relations with industry, government and research teams around Australia,” Professor Stelbovics said. “Murdoch University is well placed to benefit from the Federal and State governments’ policy drivers to promote collaboration with industry in its research.” |
